POSITION SUMMARY 
Our Senior Process Engineer is a key part of the Liberty Plastics team. This role supports all continuous improvement initiatives and manages the QMS.  Also Develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve them. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources. The Process Engineer works directly with facility leaders to continuously improve our systems in the areas of safety, production, and cost with a focus on Quality.
This full-time position will report to the General Manager at our Liberty Plastics location in Baldwyn, Mississippi.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Writing and providing input for operating procedures
  • Leading root cause analysis
  • Identifies, recommends, and coordinates process control improvements. 
  • Manage Quality Management System
  • Lead the initiative for process and quality improvement
  • Work with employees on production floor addressing concerns and assisting with troubleshooting issues and problems
  • Understand organizational structures and organizational development to support the quality objectives and build the desired quality culture while driving accountability
  • Establish processes to proactively / reactively address quality issues and drive continual improvement
  • Analyze supplier-provided engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to the product design.
  • Analyze cost saving opportunities and provide solutions for component, material, and design changes.
  • Research new manufacturing methods/equipment.
  • Other duties, as assigned 
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 
  • 5+ years managing quality or engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)  
  • Knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in a manufacturing industry
  • Experience in handling multiple projects, driving bottom line results, and must be able to lead and develop teams consisting of manufacturing personnel (technical and operations), managers and suppliers
  • Hands-on, self-starting team player with a solid working knowledge in the fundamentals of project & process management
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience developing and implementing quality metrics in a manufacturing environment
  • Detail oriented, have solid organizational skills, be capable of multi-tasking and have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding and experience using Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Must be flexible in hours to support multiple shift facility
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Six Sigma and ISO experience highly desired
  • Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks Software
