POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Finance - FP&A at Liberty Diversified International (LDI) Enterprise Solutions is accountable for partnering with other business leaders across the LDI family of companies to prepare financial analyses to support business decisions.  This position will work with financial and business leaders to execute LDI’s strategy by providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis to predict and compare actual vs. forecasted results.

This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Enterprise Solutions offices in New Hope, MN.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead processes to ensure Enterprise Solutions has robust financial planning tools to accurately plan for, predict, and report on actual business results vs. plans.
  • Lead the annual Budget process, managing the daily/monthly/annual Financial Reporting processes, and partnering with the Enterprise Solutions CFO to ensure a robust financial forecasting process.
  • Prepare executive and board charts that tell the company's financial performance story, aiding in strategic decision-making and performance evaluation.
  • Lead and develop a team capable of partnering with the CFO and division Finance teams to create and present financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Partner with corporate IT to ensure Enterprise Solutions has databases and tools available to easily report and analyze complex financial data with an ability to divide data into smaller parts and examine more closely or in different ways to understand trends or where the business is or is not against profit.
  • Proactively ensure compliance with financial reporting principles and requirements, including bank compliance.
  • Lead financial valuation and modeling of M&A activity.
  • Promote a high-performance, continuous improvement culture that values learning and commitment to quality, with ample opportunities for growth and development.
  • Partner with Accounting to compile and consolidate financial reports across subsidiaries, ensuring data integrity and facilitating review.
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and compensation analysis and to drive acquisition strategy.
  • Analyze variances to budgets/forecast/prior year to help ensure complete and accurate recording of results.
  • Drive the designing and implementing of finance processes for acquisition evaluation, modeling, and due diligence.
  • Think critically about accounting and finance processes to drive automation, efficiency, accuracy, and other improvements.
  • Drive special projects as needed – such as research, valuation analyses, decision support, and ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and or needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with focus in Finance, Accounting, or similar quantitative degree. MBA a plus.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance and or financial analysis experience.
  • Management and/or leadership experience that may include leading projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking and research skills
  • Exceptional judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to take ownership and drive issues to completion.
  • Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
  • Works well as a team player and an individual contributor
  • Practical written communication skills; able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Practical verbal communication skills: effectively present information and communicate with all levels of employees and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
  • Firm understanding of the manufacturing process.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Exceptional proficiency in Excel.
  • Possess effective cross functional partnering, financial planning and analysis skills
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of time

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of OneStream or a similar consolidation software package.
  • Experience operating in a matrix environment is a plus.
